The VTEC satellite workshop will be a 2-day course, just prior to VTEC 2023 that will provide an introduction to genomic epidemiology analysis followed by hands-on practical tutorials demonstrating the use of those selected analysis tools that are most relevant to VTEC genomic science. The tutorials are designed as self-contained units that include example data and detailed instructions for installation of all required bioinformatics tools or access to publicly available web applications. The workshop will be directed by world class researchers that have published extensively in the bioinformatics field. In addition, to guidance by the lead instructors, participants will receive direct assistance from a team of tutors that will circulate among participants throughout the workshop. Linkages will be established to provide participants with post-workshop guidance. If appropriate, participants are encouraged to bring their own data for discussion purposes.
